#BAUniC:movie:scene030
E, to B2's office.
B2: Look, it is precisely because we trust you that we want you to quit that BAUniC nonsense. It reflects badly on our institution.
E: You know I won't do that.
B2: Keep it quiet at least...
E: That's what I told B1, but...
B2: You said you would slack off less conspicuously.
E: Yeah, because B1 was not satisfied with the way I reported. The information was all there, bullet points and such. Not formatted in bolds and highlights because it was ALL important. Condensed to four pages, printed and signed for posterity. I lowered fonts to make it fit, as I suspected B1 would print it anyway, but, come on, the information, what counts, was precise and not embellished in content just like not embellished in appearance. What was expected of the report anyway. Highlighting our weak points along our strong ones. That was what was asked of me, made sense, and that was what I returned.
B2: What prevents you from doing the points you raise?
E: Skill.
B2: You, skill? Not buying it.
E: Engagement to the position would take away quite a lot of my attention and time, like it did to R1 and D0, and I do not wish to do it. Not for a compensation that makes sense. What good is money anyway? Beyond stability. A Sheppard tone of hedonic treadmill? Till you get used to the new lifestyle and it all comes down to normal anyway. Then how to count pleasure? Endorphins in the brain? Achievements? Let alone I really don't have the skills required to complete the tasks. It takes a lot of training to reach that level, and not all computer related jobs are similar.
B2: Alright, but can you quit it with #BAUniC?
E: Tone it down. We'll see.
(a bit later, B1-B2, email, only B2 is shown typing)
B2: Do you know how many accesses he has? He has gotten them despite being so cheeky.
B1: So what?
B1, next message: How many?
B2: He can access and modify logs of even this conversation. And there is nothing we can do about it. Somebody has to do it, might as well be him. He is a rare exception of honesty.
B1: How rare?
B1, again second message while B2 is still typing: So, he has access to funds at his fingertips, right? He can guide the parameters of supply and fix himself a nice piece of real estate to buy for breadcrumbs?
B2: He has not dipped his finger not even once in all these years. He is a weirdo that has no muse for money, who just wants to be left alone to do his job, and he is also right, it would be better for us to hire somebody else, but you know, at that role almost all that come eventually succumb to a bribe.
B1: Or go away on their own.
(a bit later, email with a bit of correspondence between B1 and E, on B2's display)
B1: Look, we both acted a little hurriedly, but let's burry the axe. You are a reliable member of this team, and we will learn to work together.
E: Apology accepted. You were thinking about the good of the company.
B1: You are a weird, but useful tool of this institution.
(a bit later, B1 to B2, new message)
B1: Let's hope we don't become guilty by association with that tower of Babel they say E is helping building.
B2: Let's hope...
B1: You don't believe that crap, do you?
B2: Well, he has tried to get my alliance once, before they had become semi-famous. He made good points. I listened... many don't, now.

#BAUniC:movie:scene029 - outburst
Scene029, A2 and A3 are hanging around, notes spread around, 3 computers working on different stuff, multitask, many windows open.
P1 rushes in: How come you guys are so deep into this, after all that is happening.
A2: This is the best way to honor our friend.
P1: Can't you see this is hopeless? All of this chaos, all of this instability.
A2: Please, we are trying to work here...
P1: This is history repeating itself.
A3: I needed a break anyway. *raises and goes to the fridge. What he comes back with is up to the sponsor*
A2: Please, P... let's not discuss here. Let our attention focus on what we can, and if we make the world a better place in the process...
P1 interrupts: The ones with money are putting us one against the other, for the fear and compliance resulting from it, and all you think about...
A2: That is not ALL I think about. I am angry too at what happened! Maybe more so than the marketing group. I am choosing where to direct my anger, doing what I can, building universes in this case.
P1: You think that can solve what's wrong with the world?
A2: Not trying is accepting defeat!
P1: They can start a war at any time, how are your universes going to fix that?
A2: How is your whining about it?
P1: The disease is spreading to our society, and...
A2: Thank you for suffering for me too. Now, please, don't bring me down.
*A3, returning with a tray of items.*
P1: I feel sorry for all....
A2: Don't feel sorry, do something. Here, building formulas. Down the hall, programming. 3 floors down, marketing. You can promote this competition, and the path to this goes through various stages of enlightenment, making the journey quite worthy.
P1: I get it... but the world is quite fucked up and rage is being directed in the wrong places making it worse, while the top of this pyramid of fuckedupness is laughing all the way to the bank.
A3: They call it, home. *giggles*
A2: Today we may be more divided than ever, but also more united than ever.
P1: United? Where?
A2: United in here, for example.
P1: They took P3 away from us! *cries*
A2: I know, and I staying here taking it is not my way to go about this. Now, please, don't mourn here. Don't mourn at all, if possible. Organize. We will sing glory songs about P3 later, and remember Hir in the best lighting.
P1: While they hide in the shadows and pull the strings.
A2: That too... resisting it my way. Either help or get out!
P1, resisting physically, but being practically guided out by the scene, beyond the power of the character to resist it since the actor has the last move.
(scene ends, continues in a different sun position)
P2 enters: You were mean to P1.
A2: I only told her to stop demoralizing the group.
P2: You threw her out. She wanted a shoulder to cry on.
A2: I got that, and I informed her this was not the right place.
P2: You threw her out. You were mean.
A3: He was not. We were busy.
P2: You could have been more sensitive.
A2: Look, we are all sad about what happened. Now, some chose solitude. Some chose distraction. We chose prioritizing the cause even more.
P2: Wasting your time!
A3: I know you did not like our approach, but take it or leave it, we are doing it.
P2: P1 does not like it. I just think it is silly.
A2: Technically, or...?
P2: Technically. Ramis' team is far better at this, and you should follow their lead.
A2: Suit yourself.
A3: She is right, though. It does look silly in the grand scheme of things.
A2: Not you too... come on, we are behind schedule.
A3: The reviewed schedule you did not ask anybody when you changed.
A2: Yes, that!
A3: You are lucky your scheming makes sense... *takes pencil and pretends to write a couple of lines, actually just finishing up a couple of punctuations to the formulas*
A2, to P3: Got anything else to say?
P2: You should apologize to her.
A2: Maybe later. I am busy now.
P2 goes and fetches P1, door open, sounds of doors and steps, P2 comes in after P1.
A2, to P1: I agree with you, the world looks hopeless. And our project looks silly too. But we are trying. If you don't like it, please don't stand in our way. I know you care, that is why I am not keeping resentment on you. You should not either. May this be enough of an apology.
P1 turns around, wanting to leave, not replying. P2 keeps her in.
A2: Look, I gave the guys more work to do today, and have been increasing their workload steadily for the past 2 weeks. Please, if you are done.
P2: I will come by and give you a thought about it later, when you are in the brainstorming phase, alright? That will make up for the time lost today.
A3: Fair...
*P2 whispers in P1's ear. They complot a little, shoulder to shoulder.*
P2: We know you care, and we will not keep resentment on you either, but our ways are different than yours.
A2: Thank you.
P2 lets P1 go, then follows: We're going. We'll keep in touch.
P1, voice only, from the hall: She^^ will (tone indicating P2).
(scene ends probably)

#BAUniC:movie:scene028 - Jill
3: Dropping these. Waste of cpu cycles. Too old.
R: 1 and 2 have been more productive since the last semi-success at instalink. They have improved on that, while aiming completely elsewhere.
*V, laughs, then turns her display to show R and 3 her findings. They laugh too. (Something meme related, but not 9gag, instead some minor site needing a boost from being advertised on this movie)
3: Send it to Kev too.
V: Good idea... *attention drifting away, clicking, typing, ... strong final keypress* sent!
3: Where does Kev hang around these days?
V: Oh, the usual places...
3: I mean, where does he get his news feed, where does he give his feed contributions. Haven't seen him posting on my circles lately.
R: Ha! He has been disillusioned with social media ever since (media platform name here, bleeped out in the movie too, so people KNOW who the culprit is, as they feel it deep in their bones anyway)
*R continues to talk in a voice coming from an old memory/echo to reality: .... and then Jill Stain entered the race, and the traditional media and their online fansocial media continued the same dance... (voice gets zzzzziippped out again)
*3 shakes his/her head, clears up ear with pinkie finger, blinks and concentrates on R, as he finishes his speech.
R: ... therefore he guides his slacktivism trolling popular comment sessions, where listening ears may hang, even if a temporary influence till the mods come and fix the posts according to their guides... are you alright?
3: I think... maybe... I don't know... I need to lay.
*3 lays back on the couch*
*V laughs again, R peeks over, thumbs her up, and continues*
(Scene needs to be expanded before-after)

#BAUniC:movie:scene026-027 - Fired!
Scene026: Department boss' office.
Almost all pauses and body-language are removed, but the scene drags slower to match reality and audience expectation for such events. To be decided in natural scene evolution between body/face/voice actors and director during recording and montage, with reserved hand/eye gestures to direct focus to sponsored content. Plenty of space to fill in desks, walls etc, for product placement.

*Knock*
B: Enter!
*Entering... door closes out of camera view, fixable delay for allowing one other person to be present without being shown. A row of chairs is shown by the wall behind E while entering. This description will be adapted upon character creation/introduction.
B: Take a seat.
*E, takes a seat. Muffed sitting sound. E Looks briefly sideways to where door is supposed to be. More muffed sound of somebody sitting.
*looking, getting comfortable/uncomfortable, delays to heighten audience tension*
B: We are not happy with your performance, Mr? E.
E: Where exactly is the problem, please?
B: This report for example *papers on a paper clip shown from hand to E*
E: You actually printed that?
B: This report is incomplete.
E: What information is missing?
B: And presented in an inappropriate way.
E: And you fixed that, apparently, as you needed. But, what information is missing?
B: And you had plenty of time to fix that, as asked.
E: Which I declared I would not, did not I? Is there any problem with the cyclic parameters? Or the actual values?
B: You were asked something specific!
E: But unrelated to my tasks...
B: I don't like how you slack off during job hours.
E, pausing the direct semi-interrupting responses: My job requires 9 parts thinking, and 1 part acting. I am not slacking off.
B: And I don't like your attitude.
E: This does not affect my job performance, only your impression of it.
B: Impression or not, we have a problem with you, and you need to do something about it.
E: I am doing my job as intended, and completing my tasks on time. If you wish on top of that for me to pretend keep working for the sake of appearances, you are talking to the wrong person, and I am fine with being replaced. I will find another job with another boss and other requirements, and you will find someone who takes 4 hours to complete what I can do in half an hour, and be happy they are working their ass off.
B: This is what I mean by your attitude. Shooting off the final threat, where we can talk improvement...
E, interrupting: Calling black black, and white white, I don't see a problem here..... (intentional long pause from the E character, to pressure B, intense looking)
B, after holding back reply one and a half times, semi-attempts at conversation,: What will you do to fix the aforementioned issues?
E: I can mind my own business less conspicuously after finishing my tasks.
B: That will not do.
E: What do you propose?
B: There is plenty to do around here. Your direct supervisor will find you tasks fitting your abilities.
E: So, let's discuss about compensation for those extra activities.
B: What?!
E: Since you are requiring more of my attention and soul, it is fair to demand more coins for it, right?
B........ That is not going to happen.
E: Likewise, extra tasks, not going to happen.
B: Mr. E, you are an employee of this institution, and while you work for us, you will do what you are told.
E: Maybe then it is time to find someone to replace me...
B: Are you looking to get fired?
E: Absolutely not.
B: Then why do you ask for a wage increase when you don't want a wage increase?
E: As I said, discuss. Which means you put a value to it, and I suggest you hire extra personnel to do the tasks for the extra value you are prepared to pay me...
B, interrupting: Dejavu, Mr. E. I am told you have used these arguments already.
E: And I still don't see a flaw in these, but no answer either.
B: This is not a cooperative attitude.
E: And you are going to do about it, what? As I said, I am fine with it, suggesting it even.
B: What your supervisor sees in you, I can't understand.
E: Doing complicated tasks on time, readiness to engage in full power when the situation requires it, *shushing B with a finger up as 'one moment please, let me finish'* no, filling in my time with more tasks is not the situation requiring it, it is you requiring it, and I am not fine with that.
B: How can your supervisor stand you all day...
E: Maybe some people need to be in the company of those not afraid to explore the uncomfortable truths, just like some people would rather surround themselves in deception.
B, getting angrier, brief glares, lips, but nothing said.
E looks to the side, but now camera is there for a direct look: I know this is not a good example to my fellow colleagues, but *looks at B* this is my life and more tasks means more mental draining, despite my ability to handle them if wanting to...
B: Your friendship with your supervisor is not going to save you forever.
E: Maybe it is helping the post and your need for me, rather than me, or maybe my friendship is earned by loyalty in a non-abusive relationship,,, Or, if I feel like being frank, your friendship _with whoever_ is keeping you in a position you are not giving me the impression of being fit for, because it sounds like projection.
*sound of 'ah?!' in a voice similar but not quite B's, while the camera is focused on E*
B, sighs, continues: Whatever, Mr. E, ... while on our payroll, you will do as the workplace demands you to do.
E: I am doing it. I don't want to do more. Hire more people if having more work to be done.
B: You are here now because you are not doing it!
E: And where am I failing?
B ... first eyes widened, then angry, then cliché: While here, you will focus your attention to issues relating to here!
E: Hah! Not even in jail one is supposed to...
B (continues): and not any of your whaco projects of...
E, flips down a family photo of B, landing face down on the desk: you too... outside of work, do as you please...
B slams palm on the desk angrily: That's it! You're fired!
E: My lawyer will continue this conversation...
E stands and walks to the door. Quick exit. Firm closing of the door. Steps continuing outside. Silence.
(scene may continue if we decide to introduce a pupil character, learning from E's ways but not ready to pee upwind, yet)
(scene is absolutely not a good example to teach the corporate workforce, but the audience will love it, so it stays. Anyone more interested in keeping workforce under pressure conditions, valuing form over content, are free to not use any of the allocated sponsor slots)

Scene027
________________
E enters his office and slums into his chair.
Supervisor: How did it go?
E: I'm fired, haha!
S: No, you're not!
E: I know. You, or the head of this institution, can fire me like that. The others, even if on the direct hierarchical path, can only suggest. Strongly maybe, but the big boss is no fool, and you are not either.
S: Just let 'em blow off some steam. They are under pressure too, and their incompetence does not make it any easier.
E: I would rather not waste time and nerves dealing with these issues, though, or rehearsing answers to possible attacks.
S: Yeah... but at least you are not worrying like a couple of years ago.
E giggles: And spreading this inner peace to those willing to listen.
T: You are not that peaceful.
E: On the path to peace, sometimes even confrontationally.
S: Much better than G on the other office, indeed I would put him up for a promotion and example, if they did not insist so much it is not the case.
T: And E not wanting a promotion anyway.
E: What for? I live a simple life, and my pleasure comes from stuff way outside of the routine of life. Money is barely to keep surviving a little longer. Transcendence may be at the door, no?
T: No.
E: Let's agree to disagree. Still, seeking no money, and surviving head of department after head of department.
S: Because they would rather have you as a trusted tool that may feel rough on their hands, but reliable, instead of someone with a similar mindset to theirs, or one of the bunch of fakes around.
E: Hehe, yeah, that too, but if it had not been for you, they would not care enough about this institution to lower their pride and accept their mistakes, and would have managed to convince the general directors it is my fault for all that is wrong here.
T: I think S would not be able to save me if I acted like you did...
S: If you acted like E, you would gradually become E, and therefore I would be saving E in his latest representation, muhahahaha
(scene ends with all of them laughing. Scene may continue and develop according to sponsored changes.)

#BAUniC:movie:scene024-025 - instalink
Scene024
____________
Knock. 1 opens the door. 2 enters, carrying 3 laptops and a bag of mice/chargers/cables, followed by X, Y and C, but they are seen from behind, barely body and back head. They are all carrying something, more laptops and cables. 1 shows them the empty room (cables all around, messy), while a glimpse of the other room (no faces, similar people/similar computers, differently arranged/differently dressed) is shown, people setting up a network.
1: Order the computers so the first and last target computer is sitting by that table. They are arranged similarly behind the wall.
C: Isn't this supposed to resonate with our doubles or antidoubles at the far side of the universe? What difference does a couple more meters do?
1: Just how precise do you think we can calculate a line of causality going from one arrangement to the other 10 to the power of 128 visible-universe-radiuses behind?
C: As precisely as you like, that's the point.
1: Get me infinite precision Pi, and maybe we can dream about it. Till then, we do it like this, unless you have a better idea.
C: No, no... I like fractals, but I heard you had something big prepared here.
1, smiles: Something to get Ramis out of his room, for once.
Ramis' voice muffed from the other room: Haiiii, we are almost ready.
2, setting up computers and cables with X and Y, (never being shown in the same shot as manipulating the same object in the scene): we will need a few more minutes here...
X: Shit! I forgot the data disk... be back in a min! *grabs car's keys and rushes out*
Y, after X is out: He could have asked to get to my car... boh, at least he is being enthusiast about it today.
C: So, who is the initiator?
1: they did not tell you?
C: They said I would find out. Why?
2: Presenting to you, the initiator *exaggerated bow*
C: Ha!! *pleasantly surprised* Nice!
2: Actually I was a bit displeased so few people read that far down to know who changed what and who proposed what, but then I am learning to do the same, and trust the group choices... I am glad at least most of you trust Z enough to be here.
R: Thank you!
2: Yes, thank you Ramis. That is a valuable lesson to learn in hanging out with you guys. No malice, just no time to listen to all the bla-bla of everybody. *clears throat* Anyone has a sick sibling, parent, child? ... *brief pause, not letting them actually answer, continues*... may they get well soon.
*muffed laughter from the other room*
R, still voice only: Zee is not here yet. Who's gonna check up on her?
2: She will be here, don't worry. I checked up on her on our way in.
X: back! *hands out discs to people present, (with camera angles hiding the exchange or when/if the object needs to actually move after being let go from X's hand)*
R: ready here... starting up.
Y: not even close here, but you can start, we will be ready before the first batch of data is out.
R: Or, you know, we can just wait and relax a little *footsteps back and forth to the toilette, water running, moans of stretching, splashing. Computers still being set up at room 2.
Z, semiloud: I'm here, the door was open.
Y looking at X: Not only you grabbed the keys without permission, but you left...
X, interrupting: As usual, I can see the future. I knew you had no objection to me going fixing what I had messed in the first place, and that Z would come *pretends to laugh*
Y: And a better view of the past, will you get?
X: Limited, and decreasing in quality...
2: Haii Zee
Z: Hey there... all set up?
2: Ramis is ready to go, we need a few more minutes here.
Z: Can I help?
Y untangling cables: This is one of the few occasions where more hands won't help much, but you can get Ramis started.
*sounds of someone leaving the bathroom, and someone entering, doors opening and closing, steps*
R, muffed, from the toilette: in a minute. Don't touch anything.
1: I can show her.
R: No, wait, I started running a diagnostic.
Unclear voices from room 1: We are ready, links operational.
Y: Links operational here too, booting up.
2, looks at Z still at the door observing him idly: chat to you in a while.
Z: Mmmm... confident... Who convinced you it will work? Jack or Ramis?
2: I have a gut feeling.
Z: We'll see.
Y: Ready! Links operational. Sequences almost running.
*X giggles*
R: Your sequences are not running, now, let's not push uncertainty with imprecision. I know jokes are fine, but this can easily be mistaken for truth.
*Sound of starting operating system (Windows, after MS confirms sponsorship), 2 turns to the 'offending' laptop, then to Y*
Y: Oh, haha, forgot to remove sounds. Don't worry, it is not a fresh install. *Y clicks and clicks and clicks and stands* Alright, sequences running, for real this time.
Voice from room 1: Here too.
R, flushes, washes hands, gets from bathroom to room1.
(scene may continue. For now, in the linear narrative it needs to jump to next part of the story)
Scene025
_______________
Y: try again!
X: yeah, we just did, but the incoming data was flawed beyond repair.
2: Nope, the data was supposed to be flawed. It, um... *raises voice* any luck you guys?
Z from the other room: Same. But you are the initiator. Here is running in a predictable loop.
2: What about the extras? Do they add up to something useful?
Voice: not that I can tell.
R: Don't give up, run it from step 16 again.
2: Running... *3-4 seconds, percentages filling in 2 or 3 lines on screen*... nope, same result.
X: Step 17 with the same input data?
Y: Yeah, ... if we are aiming to find divergences...
2: Step 17, still garbage output. Nothing any codex can read.
R: Output set to text, right?
2: Of course...
R: Just checking.
C: Won't seeking for a deliberate extra input source mess up the results?
Y: Normally, yes, but this is not fractal mode. This is realtime, and here we try to filter exactly that.
C: Yeah, but... *something blips on her screen, she checks it out, a few clicks and keystrokes, then hope goes to routine again, turning to Y to continue*... we are trying to force precision where it should not be. This connection would not stand *a new blip, a new intervention*
2: Short of reworking the tables, we can't fix it automatically. And so far, even reworking the tables has only given us a few more steps in an exponentially harder problem, nothing useful.
C: We have already proven physics comes from fractals, now we have to find the fractal, that's my bet.
Y: We have not proven-proven it. We have found ways to get predictable results better than current models, but tell me, truthfully, how many of the academics are ready to give up their comfortable positions? How many are supporting us?
C: Apart from the Russian team and the renegade Chinese team, only individuals.
X: I would guess 3/4 of the anonymous contributors are academics too, but yeah, Y is right. We need to do, now, put something into useful practice beyond concepts. This is how we are doing it, but, by all means, refining the precision of the table and transformation formulas is a holy grail we should not stop looking for. Finding it, with all the multiverse and superposition and inner-slices and collapsing temporary branches...
C: ...and the enormity of cosmos, and the fact that we have not found any trace of life in our fractals,...
X: Yeah, we may never find it, and get the final complete proof.
Y: So, we may as well play around and see if something useful comes out of it.
2: Like computing system able to communicate at a distance *can't hold back laughter*
. .. ... more interventions, clicks, adjustments ... .. .
C, to Y: You really believe it can transmit and receive information faster than light?
Y: Potentially, or what I believe we can actually reach?
C: Both.
Y: I think the binary substructure of this branch of cosmos may contain ways to transmit cause and effect faster than the direct line as seen from those checking up in the traditional way. But that will only be slower than light even if we go beyond the classic concepts.
C: So, what good is this for, then?
Y: Entering in resonance with the environment, low-power-long-distance information transmission, and who knows what.
X: Wireless power transmission, extraction of energy from the environment, interplanetary communication more effectively than laser transmission, maybe even instantaneous interplanetary communication from a common divergence point with each party seeing the other as in a pocket of delayed spacetime on a synchronous baseline of verification.
2: Something now?
Z: Not yet, but no error either.
R: It is weird, but it wold be even weirder if nothing strange happened while we tried instalink.
Z: We have not tried instalink.
R: You haven't. I have, and have failed maybe more times than you have failed trilink.
Z: The loops are solid, and holding. Nothing is coming through, though. Can't call it a failure, but this is no win either.
2: What about now?
Z: Nope... what are trying to send?
2: Not telling. Either it works, or not. Let me have a secret, will you?
Z: Sure, as long as it does not impact the experiment.
2: Rest assured it does not.
Z: I trust in you.
Voice from room1: Error, error, error... spilling over, oh, error on the other loops as well.
*sounds of moving chairs on the other room*
C: Error here also! Wow, not the kind of error this loop is supposed to give.
Y: No! In fact, that's what my portion of loops is supposed to give *abruptly stands*
R: HA!! They have synched. The systematic conversion error of 1,2,3 has spilled to the conversion of 1,5,7... *pause* seems also to the 1, 11, 13, but not enough to cause a disruption.
X: Yeah, I confirm, here too. Errors in adjustable form, mostly similar to the usual exceptions, but clearly a statistical anomaly to say the least.
C, blinking, looking around, confused: how did that... um...
2: So, what do you guys wanna call this?
R: It needs more work, that's what I wanna call it. Everybody, save the logs, and reset to the last known good configuration. We try again right now!
2: Agreed!
Voice: Agreed. Starting step 22?
Y: We can skip over the first 20 minutes of syncing. I say step 23, at start value of beyond the trillion.
Voice: Step 22, start value of 16'000 and going both directions.
Y: That will do too.
Z: I'm feeling a bit sick, excuse me.
2 sighs, hearing Z run to the bathroom and throw up. Looks at X, Y, C. Low voice: She has not even had this, when her errors on the trilink show up.
Y: We would not be here if it was not for her experiments.
2: I know that. She knows that too. Still, I feel like we are stealing her spotlight.
R: Guys, shut up, it's not that. Remember, we are quantum systems interacting with semi-automatic quantum systems. This takes a toll on the body and the mind.
X: If he calls computers and programs semi-automatic, what does he call automatic?
R: Physics, fractals, 1+1 ... infinity maybe...
Y, to X: It is not polite to talk behind other's back, or behind a wall...
R: It is not functional to worry about these little things. He was just wondering out loud, and to some people my ways may look weird, till they learn my ways and everybody else looks weird after that *laughs*
2: Zee? You alright?
Z, flushes, and comes out of the room, waves to people in room2, particularly to 2: Yeah, all right.
R: Ready to start again.
Y: Ready too.
1: I'm... *pauses, giving time to X, Y, Z, C, 2 to look about, have a concerned face*, ok, I think I got it... no... no, my loop won't start at step 22 with a 16'000 start value.
*movement heard from the other room, then Ramis says: He is ready now... won't tell you what he forgot, but we are all tired here. Let's do this.
2: I don't expect any more surprises now. If it was meant to work, it would have. If it was meant to break, it would have, and it did, in an unusual way which will give us all a couple of weeks of headaches...
R: It will give you and 1 headaches for a couple of months... here, fixed that for you.
*2 pretends to laugh and sits down* Alright, initiator ready. Tell me when you can...
R: Ready...

#BAUniC:movie:scene023 - Car trip
Car stops by Metabo retail shop.
2 yells from the back window: Clara! We're here!
C: 'n moment guys! (yelled back from a muffed, under-the-desk)
*hand reaching up, hitting spacebar, computer blows fast air, quiet again after 3-4 seconds, more fumbling under the desk, display off. Head from under the desk gets up, smashes a couple of keys, display still off, gets down, pulls cables, puts cables back, finger on the on-key for a force-shutdown, represented in sound, then a new press (same press sequence reverse pressed if not bothering with new source recordings), now it shows something, normal computer start. Clara stands, dusts herself, half yells: 'all good, fixed now' and is about to leave. Shop owner comes by, minimal body/face/hand showing, repeats 'all good? fixed now?'.
C: yeah, I don't think this situation will repeat, but the system is old and you should think about replacing it sooner rather than later.
Shopkeeper: What do you suggest?
C: Anything will do, at least anything that can handle the games your son plays on lazy mornings. (alternatively, if computer sponsor, replaced with suggestion in nerdy language). It is the era of planned obsolesce embedded in the software, you need the equivalent of a supercomputer of a few years ago just to get on the internet. Or, the mobile phones of today.
S: I like something reliable.
C: Even the most unreliable junk is pretty much reliable. You get more trouble by visiting some nefarious page.
S: Long lasting I mean.
C: Hehe, like the tools you sell in your shop. Great brand. Working, every time!
S: Yes... something that won't need to be changed in a few years.
S: I will send you a link... just pick one that fits in your budget, and you got the lasting computer.
S: Alright. Here, something for your trouble.
C: Can you clear up payment with the company? I don't handle coin exchange.
S: I know, but this is for you and your prompt and sincere response.
*Clara, perplexed, showed reaching over, but not showed taking the money. They shake hands, camera angles not containing any need for both actors to be on the same scene. Bye / bye. Clara leaves, gets in the car*
C: 'sup guys. (and regular 'hi'-s, 'sup'-s among friends)
2: Same shit, different day... well, except for the experiment today, that we hope is not the same shit.
C: Zeah came up with a new scheme to play around with realtime?
X from the front seat, turning: Actually is not Zee this time, though it looked like her style.
2: I got the update from Zeah too. She gave the final checkup. I am not sure she will be present, I did not see her workload scheduled on the cluster.
X: Z will be the other half of the test subject. I think this is an attempt at instalink.
C: I thought that could not be done?
Y from the driver seat, without looking: that depends on which school of accepted thought you subscribe to. It cannot be done in a frozen perfect fractal. It can be done if all maths is connected, even if we don't catch up all the connections, just enough of the diverging points to influence circuitry.
C: I see... Who is the initiator?
*X smiles but does not answer*
2: You will see, though it could have been anyone of us. I don't know why he wants to be a test subject himself, though.
X: We will be running in two completely separate networks. I think they will even put separate switches, though if the formulas are powerful enough to cause hardware glitches, they will be powerful enough to cause software ones and mitigating that in such rudimentary way is not going to change anything in the overall concept.
Y still looking at the road: That is almost for their own peace of mind, though I would have done the same in their shoes.
C: Do we need to be dedicated?
X: Initiators, yes, but we are on the verification group. Still, I got nothing better to do, just give them access to parts of my quantum processors *taps at his temple indicating his brain as quantum processor*
(scene may continue. Sponsor logos may appear on the outside of the car. Car type, undefined till we hear back from potentially interested parties)

#BAUniC:movie:scene022 - Ramis' house
#BAUniC:movie:scene022 - Ramis' house
Scene: 1 and 2 outside Ramis' house. Sounds of conversation inside. 1 knocks.
Vilma: ... and that's why knowledge and memory are different.
Ramis: Come in.
*1 enters. Ramis' house is expected to be a nerd's/hacker's house, powerful computers, many displays, cables, computer pieces, books, notepads, partially eaten food*
Kevin: Not if everything is connected to everything.
V: I am talking about knowledge per se, eventually understanding, emergent...
1: What are you guys talking about?
R, answering to 1: There is a version of me that can hold it all together, understand it... a lot more than I can, at least... And I can briefly see with his eyes... but what I can do for longer and with higher precision is focus on a limited task, combining the *gestures 'hand it over' or 'come closer' to 1* efforts and data from various sources *attention drifting again to Kevin and Vilma*
K: The more he knows, the more she suffers.
V: But she organizes it so various parts of her face different aspects differently, so that there is always an upward trend of joy to pay attention to.
*1 hands over the printed pages to Ramis*
K: Knowing what they had to do to get there, AND ensuring anyone following has to do the same,,,
V (interrupting): Some things are best forgotten, and must forgotten.
*Ramis still listening, but taking a look at 1's first few pages*
K: Paying attention to some parts, but knowing it all, memory is not knowledge, ok?
*Vilma nods. Ramis nods too, and hands back the notes to 1. 1 looks awkwardly at Kevin, then Vilma, then Ramis. Frightened almost. Frustrated. Out of place.*
K continues: And choice influences the world, and is related to attention and knowledge...
*1 catches Ramis' eye and questions him with his eyes, aka. 'uh?'*
R, to 1, low voice: That's for if you need to show it to someone else.
K: And choice generates variation and falloff...
R (interrupting): Don't go there, that's cyclic.
K (continues, acknowledging Ramis): The issue is how to make it better, in other words, grow.
*V, exasperated sigh*
K: That requires applying knowledge, making choices.
*Ramis reaches to the under desk and gets a note for 1, a website*
K: Effort, sacrifice, but not waste and forgetfulness. Accessibility is important as well.
R, to 1: Quite complicated shit you are playing with here, guys.
K: Even if the average is falling, choice in a noise environment can be amplified.
V: That means...
R (interrupting): Meaning is given...
V, looking angrily at Ramis, resuming: ...we need to shed something, even in eternal expansion. But that is the "we" that are divided and limited, else, the "weee" would become the all-nuts and all-powerless *making hand-quote gestures*
R: I am with Kev. Choice, attention, knowledge, not powerless. Who knows, can change. Power is divisive too, acting and being acted upon, not just knowledge and who knows what.
K: Thank you!
V: That does not invalidate my point, and certainly is applicable to any limited but growing civilization and the allknowing, whether we agree on forgetting and power, or not.
R, very exasperated, to 1: They can go on like that for hours, while we are trying to transcend our limits while still small, tiny in fact.
V: But the impossibility of containing everything, and the inevitable split does not make it likely for spontaneous coordination and construction of something from nothing, not even in the white noise amplifier you bring up.
K: And your upward trend can fix that?
V: More than your division of he knows, she suffers.
K: That was just using common ways to refer to different traits. It stuck because it resonates with our society. Her, compassion, protection. Him, cold, calculating.
*1 tries to follow the argument, looking at Kevin and Vilma*
V: Having an upward trend to *air quote* look forward to, pay attention, remember better, often, even embellish, CAN fix it, though, even in the all-that-can-happen scenario.
K: Yeah, even if the combination of all effects is not doing as well.
V: Shedding something, becoming less, in order to be more, but incomplete, unable to be all, crying to be all, fearing to be all, and then advancing in this cause-effect bound linear world enough for the influencing points to become all.
R: emergent time, careful...
V: Assumed, but also emergent many things. From perfectly repeating particles to universes containing their own observers and pseudo-cause-effect-sources, in limited form, cyclic into new attempts in future permutations, with an even more limited trace of averages and selected memories. Writing or computation automation.
1 catches Ramis' eye, and asks: So?
R looks up, then points to the note in 1's hand: As last time, you need to do better than this.
*1 sighs*
R, thumbs up to 1, and turning to Kevin: The combination of ups and downs means there is, was, will be a up to get to, a down to come from, and a choice of attention split within the given environment, all coming from the aforementioned emergence of time and the meanings given.
*1, sad, leaving, dragging feet, dragging door*
V: Exactly, and shedding does not mean losing the ability to know where coming from, but taking it from a higher ... *Ramis interrupts by 'tsk tsk' disapproval, Vilma corrects herself and continues* ... different point of view.
K: Meaning, even events, not just memories, can be reconstructed. Including knowledge. Filtered, repeated, or all-containing. In the long run, eternity I mean, they all come together anyway, beyond cause and effect.
(outside Ramis' door)
2: How did it go?
1: They don't like it. They won't help.
2 grumbles,,, says: Let me try
*1 gestures to the door, as 'welcome' or 'be my guest'*
*2 knocks, then enters*
2, to Ramis: Look here, Mister, we are doing it for fun. If you don't wanna help, fine, more and longer fun for us.
R, to 2: The 5+1 trick applied to one of the variants of the lucky hunch Vilma had last year, and the grid you so boast to the world about and that I know where to find. We have tried various combinations of it already. In fact that is where I pointed 1 to go catch up on. You, ... *looks around, grabs a disk* here, catch *throws the disc to 2*. Play with this for a while.
2: You..., um..., need my help?
*Ramis is startled, Vilma and Kevin shrug, pleasantly surprised smile*
R: Isn't that what you came for? This is it. Joining forces. I need those tables prepared for the latest access needs, and keeping up, as they are outdated. And you guys are good at tables.
*2 looks at the disc in his hand, and then salutes military style*
V: Eternity cannot be contained. All-containing it is meant to be lifeless, befitting a fractal. Bringing the all-containing and the all-loco together in the same emergent form and same physics base rules is what's wrong with your line of reasoning.
K: Growing, learning from it all, aiming for it all, even if that includes constructing of the extraction method of the exceptions in the underlying structure of all combinations...
2 looks at K: Heaven and hell?
K: Far beyond that, but yeah
2: Cool...
V: Madness!
K: The allknowing does not necessarily translate to madness in concept. Only in the limited sense.
V: The knowing is a delineation of the other, object of knowledge, otherwise it would be 'the being'. Thus the division.
R to 2: Please don't go wasting 30'000 hours again, ok? Learning by mistakes is not the same as being wasteful.
2: But Jack said...
R: Jack is looking for another exception on the same data set. He might be right in theory, but infinity should be called only once in direct addressing, and we already got a very fine representation. Transforming it to fit our purposes is the next target in your tile of work.
2: That's what I thought I was doing.
R: Wastefully, following Jack's guide.
K: Jack hopes to reach beyond the local group via instalink. But realtime can only compensate so far.
*2 nods*
V: It would work if we knew and reached another civilization advanced to this point and scratching the fabric of the spacetime vibrational resonance, but our best bet is reaching and reading towards our own differential branching.
2: What if there is only one branch?
V: What if you threw tails a few times on your little coin experiment?
2: How do you know that?
V, smiles: guess how...
K: Z told her. Now to more important issues.
2: The local multiverse, yes. I like the idea of getting in touch with that. But we don't even have a self consistent physics fractal yet, and all the precise addressing means nothing without that. Conceptual, yeah. Useful? Maybe to builders and materials, but not to us.
R: We don't need to. We need partial access to it in the imaginary plane fold, and enough resonance to link our I/O with theirs. It does not matter if they are emulating us or we are addressing them. The whole of physics cannot be contained anyway, just like even the Mandelbrot set cannot be contained, except from outside. As long as our formula brings useful results, I'm fine with it.
2: Even if the experiment cannot be replicated?
R: The experiment can be replicated, it only needs the exact input, which includes not only the fractal input data but also the spacetime coordinates, which, sadly, we are moving irreversibly away from.
2: Forward time?
*R nods*
K: Similar results can be obtained, enough to see a pattern, but yeah, no exact replication whatever I/O we put and expect, unless we get procedural at both ends, which makes our pinhole observer-only and we lose coherence exponentially.
2: How fast?
K: I guess doubling every Planck's length and time, or something to that level, fast enough to be useless.
2: Is that why Jack is trying to find another pole for our target twin prime?
R: Jack wants to find aliens, or Gods. Let him. His expertise with polar exceptions is useful in debunking lower dimensional shit.
K: Jack wants faster than light, or independent of light communication, arising spontaneously between far points.
2: Being built by different civilizations.
K: That's what I said, spontaneously, on the same branch of emergent cause-effect, built by and for the emergent consciousness inhabiting those, our, dimensions. But that needs dual pole, and not on the other side of infinity, or negative, or backward in time. AND realtime cause-effect divergence too.
2: Can that be done?
K: We don't know. In theory, no, but, what we have seen in smaller than infinity exceptions, maybe. We just don't think it is the right inspiration and attention period in our progress to be dedicated to that goal.
V: Yes, we need to limit ourselves a bit.
2: How can I help?
*R points to the disc in 2's hand*
K: Shouldn't take you more than 2 or 3 weeks to get up to date. If longer, maybe that is out of your league, but we can give you something easier and still engaging and useful.
R: Just inform us of your progress, so we don't waste research efforts.
2: Will do.
R: And please, try solve yourself when you get stuck. It has been a while since I handled that. Soon I expect you to guide me in that territory.
2 smiles: Thank you guys. Luv yu. Bye *waves and prepares to leave*
R: Should have come to us sooner.
*Kevin elbows Vilma*
V, low voice, to K: maybe he should shed something?
2 nods to R, adding: Yeah, I knew where you lived. And this was only one of the points of ease of access to your realtime selves *takes breath* I live mostly in cyberspace too... *takes out phone* sometimes chained to it, by necessity or choice, work or pleasure... Thank you for taking the time to get to know the better parts of me.
*Vilma exclaims in surprise and content, sound similar to 'aha', movement 'not bad'*
K, to V, low voice: Saved by a thread.
R: You're a good kid. Keep up the good work.
*2 nods, waves bye to all, leaves*
(outside)
2 to 1: They're cool.
1: What did they say?
*Kevin, upset, inside: "You always push for knowledge madness!". Vilma laughs hysterically. Ramis: "Kev! You get knowledge and suffering, come on! You guys..." voice trails off*
2: Do better, as they told you...
2 body guides via shoulder push/tap 1 away from the door.
2: ...We are on the right track. Though, the track is complicated and we have to coordinate work.
*They walk slowly away from Ramis' door*
2: Why did you not talk to them online? .. wait, don't answer that.
*1 looks a bit ashamed*
2: Couldn't help feeling like he called me 'good puppy' when Ramis said 'good kid'.
*1 sighs and looks down, dragging his feet slower*
V: Ramis! RAMIS!
*loud music starts playing in time for a supposed unplugging of headphones. It is lowered quite soon*
R: What?!
*1 and 2 leave the building*
(scene ends)
