#BAUniC:movie:scene029 - outburst

Scene029, A2 and A3 are hanging around, notes spread around, 3 computers working on different stuff, multitask, many windows open.

P1 rushes in: How come you guys are so deep into this, after all that is happening.

A2: This is the best way to honor our friend.

P1: Can't you see this is hopeless? All of this chaos, all of this instability.

A2: Please, we are trying to work here...

P1: This is history repeating itself.

A3: I needed a break anyway. *raises and goes to the fridge. What he comes back with is up to the sponsor*

A2: Please, P... let's not discuss here. Let our attention focus on what we can, and if we make the world a better place in the process...

P1 interrupts: The ones with money are putting us one against the other, for the fear and compliance resulting from it, and all you think about...

A2: That is not ALL I think about. I am angry too at what happened! Maybe more so than the marketing group. I am choosing where to direct my anger, doing what I can, building universes in this case.

P1: You think that can solve what's wrong with the world?

A2: Not trying is accepting defeat!

P1: They can start a war at any time, how are your universes going to fix that?

A2: How is your whining about it?

P1: The disease is spreading to our society, and...

A2: Thank you for suffering for me too. Now, please, don't bring me down.

*A3, returning with a tray of items.*

P1: I feel sorry for all....

A2: Don't feel sorry, do something. Here, building formulas. Down the hall, programming. 3 floors down, marketing. You can promote this competition, and the path to this goes through various stages of enlightenment, making the journey quite worthy.

P1: I get it... but the world is quite fucked up and rage is being directed in the wrong places making it worse, while the top of this pyramid of fuckedupness is laughing all the way to the bank.

A3: They call it, home. *giggles*

A2: Today we may be more divided than ever, but also more united than ever.

P1: United? Where?

A2: United in here, for example.

P1: They took P3 away from us! *cries*

A2: I know, and I staying here taking it is not my way to go about this. Now, please, don't mourn here. Don't mourn at all, if possible. Organize. We will sing glory songs about P3 later, and remember Hir in the best lighting.

P1: While they hide in the shadows and pull the strings.

A2: That too... resisting it my way. Either help or get out!

P1, resisting physically, but being practically guided out by the scene, beyond the power of the character to resist it since the actor has the last move.

(scene ends, continues in a different sun position)

P2 enters: You were mean to P1.

A2: I only told her to stop demoralizing the group.

P2: You threw her out. She wanted a shoulder to cry on.

A2: I got that, and I informed her this was not the right place.

P2: You threw her out. You were mean.

A3: He was not. We were busy.

P2: You could have been more sensitive.

A2: Look, we are all sad about what happened. Now, some chose solitude. Some chose distraction. We chose prioritizing the cause even more.

P2: Wasting your time!

A3: I know you did not like our approach, but take it or leave it, we are doing it.

P2: P1 does not like it. I just think it is silly.

A2: Technically, or...?

P2: Technically. Ramis' team is far better at this, and you should follow their lead.

A2: Suit yourself.

A3: She is right, though. It does look silly in the grand scheme of things.

A2: Not you too... come on, we are behind schedule.

A3: The reviewed schedule you did not ask anybody when you changed.

A2: Yes, that!

A3: You are lucky your scheming makes sense... *takes pencil and pretends to write a couple of lines, actually just finishing up a couple of punctuations to the formulas*

A2, to P3: Got anything else to say?

P2: You should apologize to her.

A2: Maybe later. I am busy now.

P2 goes and fetches P1, door open, sounds of doors and steps, P2 comes in after P1.

A2, to P1: I agree with you, the world looks hopeless. And our project looks silly too. But we are trying. If you don't like it, please don't stand in our way. I know you care, that is why I am not keeping resentment on you. You should not either. May this be enough of an apology.

P1 turns around, wanting to leave, not replying. P2 keeps her in.

A2: Look, I gave the guys more work to do today, and have been increasing their workload steadily for the past 2 weeks. Please, if you are done.

P2: I will come by and give you a thought about it later, when you are in the brainstorming phase, alright? That will make up for the time lost today.

A3: Fair...

*P2 whispers in P1's ear. They complot a little, shoulder to shoulder.*

P2: We know you care, and we will not keep resentment on you either, but our ways are different than yours.

A2: Thank you.

P2 lets P1 go, then follows: We're going. We'll keep in touch.

P1, voice only, from the hall: She^^ will (tone indicating P2).

(scene ends probably)
